It’s Finally Here: NDPA Scholarship Application Now Available

One of the goals we’ve had for NDPA for some time is to offer an annual scholarship to help someone learn to fly. After a lot of work and fundraising efforts, we are finally releasing the application for the first NDPA scholarship. This is a $500 scholarship towards the cost of obtaining a recreational, sport, or private pilots certificate.  The applications are due by January 31, 2013 and we hope to present the award at the Upper Midwest Aviation Symposium this March in Fargo.  Please help spread the word to those that are eligible to apply.  Applications can be downloaded by clicking here.

 

While we are very excited to make this scholarship available, we still have a long way to go. We hope to continue growing this scholarship to eventually cover the majority of the cost of a pilots certificate.  However, this takes funding. Thank you to those of you who have made a donation to get this scholarship started. NDPA Scholarship Has Matching Funds Donor

The North Dakota Pilots Association began the process of forming a scholarship fund during our annual meeting in March. Since the association does not have a stable source of income, we set a goal to build a self-sustaining fund to ensure the scholarship will continue well into the future.

We have received an exciting offer from an anonymous donor! To help build the initial scholarship fund this donor has offered to match up to $2,000 in donations raised over the next 90 days (until August 1, 2012). This would give the scholarship fund a great boost, but we don’t have much time to act!

Please consider giving to the NDPA scholarship fund to help us receive these matching funds. Any amount helps! You can mail a check (to this address), or give online using the link below.
